Mama's Day 2013

Mothers Day was a complete joy!! 

The day started off with snuggles in bed with my girls, where they gave me sweet handmade cards and gifts. I was treated to a waffle breakfast in our large king bed, which I happily shared with everyone.  After we finished our breakfast, we planned out a fun Mother's Day together. I wanted to spend the whole day soaking up my two precious gifts, and I really enjoyed being a mama to them each and every second that went by on this Mother's Day Sunday. After we got ready for the day, we packed our small cooler full of yummy snacks, food, and water and headed out. Our first stop was Feather Acres in Del Mar, where there were over 40 animals to interact with, everything from huge horses to small bunny rabbits. The family that owns it gives you a big bag of treats to feed to any animal of your choice, and also lets you pet all the animals. 

They even give you pony rides both inside a ring and out on a nature trail. Laylie loved it and Rael could not stop waving her hands and barking at all of the animals. She was in animal heaven. It was so much fun to spend a sunny day enjoying my girls and having them just beam with delight. 

We then made our way down the street to San Dieguito Park to have a picnic on the grass, play baseball, and try out all of their different playgrounds they have on their property. It was extremely fun and by 1:00 we were ready for water, shade, and naps. 

After naps we headed to my parents' house to celebrate with more family: G.G., my mom, and sisters.

I could not have had a better day. Words cannot express how much I love and how I feel so so so blessed to be a mama. Truly, the best gift ever!!! Happy Mothers Day to all the mamas!
