This past weekend as a family we traveled to the “Happiest Place on Earth” - Disneyland! We met Jason’s family at the Resort on Sunday morning and we all relaxed at the Disney hotel rooms, went into the very warm heated pool, and really had a grand time being at this wonderful hotel.
The rooms were just remodeled with the most amazing bed frame ever. The bed frame lit up with fireworks and played a magical song which made you feel like you could drift off to sleep anywhere and anytime. It was by far the best thing in the room.
That evening, the family all ate at the House of Blues restaurant and had a tasty dinner. We were able to sing happy birthday to Laylie and she got her first FREE dessert. She loved everyone singing to her and she dove right into that ice cream cookie after we gave her a wonderful birthday song. After every little bite she would say “mmmmm” really loud and dive her spoon back in for seconds and thirds. We all laughed and watched her enjoy that sweet treat. I can’t believe she will be 1 in just a few short days!
After we ate dinner together we headed up to our joined hotel rooms and watched the Disneyland fireworks from our hotel windows. We all laid in bed and had fun saying “ooohh aahhh” at the beautiful display in the sky.
We woke up the next morning bright and early to a misty and cold day but we headed out to Disneyland anyway because nothing was going to stop the White Family from having some fun. We had such a magical time where we rode lots of rides and even got to meet Tinker Bell! Laylie loved the rides and she would bounce up and down throughout the ride. I think her favorite ride was “It’s a Small World” because of the many dollies, colors, and music. It is funny how much more fun you have at Disneyland with your small one. I truly had more fun at Disneyland this time than any other time I have ever gone because I got to watch Laylie enjoy herself as well. I thought I would never say this but I think “It’s a Small World” was my favorite ride too this time. :-)
Our sleeping beauty by her castle..
Laylie had so much fun, that by the time we checked out of the hotel and put her in her car seat, she was sound asleep with her baby Dumbo that Mamoe and Grandad bought her.
We had such a terrific time all weekend being together as a family and enjoying the happiest place on earth. We made some memories we will never forget. What a fun 1st Disneyland experience for Laylie!
So glad you all had a wonderful memorable time at DLand! :) We're so happy we got to see you all Sunday night too! Just a couple days and your sweet baby girl will be 1!!!
