Best Friends

You would never know that a 20 month old little girl could have best friend. Yup, my little Laylie has the sweetest, closest and greatest little friend, Therese. They do everything together and are just like two little teenagers hanging out together on any old day. They're so excited when they see each other and greet one another with big hugs. They chat about things and tell each other what they have been up too. They play so nicely together, making sure they are taking care of each other’s needs. They have taken dance class together, gone on fun outings like Sea World, park days and picnics. The best part is: They first met each other a few days after Laylie was born and have been together ever since. I am truly blessed by Therese’s mama and auntie because they are some of my closest and dearest friends too.

Today we had Therese and her Aunt Danielle come over for some fun. The girls had a tea party in Laylie’s room, drinking cold refreshing water and snacking on gummy bears, puffs and graham crackers. They played dress up in all of my old bridesmaids dresses, put on my long necklaces, gold bracelets and my high heeled shoes. They looked so darling! They ate lunch together and played in the backyard, and even helped bake banana bread! Each of them took turns pouring in the sugar, flour and butter. What a wonderful day and we are so thankful for such treasured friends that make our hearts so happy and over filled with joy.
