The Joys Of Camping

We had a wonderful time camping this past weekend up in the mountains with the Troncone Family. We arrived at the campsite on Friday evening and set up camp. We set up our tent in the same campsite that my parents parked their motor home, and Lisa and Jon stayed in the next campsite over. It was so much fun to camp with Laylie this year! This time she was able to run around, get totally dirty from head to toe, ride her bike everywhere and enjoy every minute playing outdoors. The best news is that she slept soundly through both nights! This is a small miracle since normally she is not such a happy camper at night and wakes up every 45 minutes. I think she finally is at the age where camping is an all around true joy. I now know why people like to camp, because it seems like the clock stops and all you have to do is relax - does it get any better than that? On Saturday, the whole family hiked to a beautiful waterfall where we got to put our feet into the cold rushing water and we took some fun pictures. We made s’mores around the campfire, ate a lot of yummy food, played games, and really enjoyed being together as a family. We had tons of fun and loved every minute of camping this past weekend.

Hanging out and relaxing at camp:

Laylie had a great time riding her bike for hours a day thanks to Uncle Jon, Uncle Chris and Jason for helping her go fast and pushing her up the hills:

Laylie had so much sunscreen in her hair we were able to do some really fun hairdos:

We are so thankful for such a wonderful weekend with tons of fun, family and perfect weather.
