Baby Showers for Baby Lain

The past two weekends I have been blessed to throw two showers for my sweet sister Lisa.
I am so thrilled about this little baby and my heart is already bursting with love for him. This baby is truly a special miracle, who is wanted so badly, and already loved on by so many.

I hosted and put together the 1st baby shower at our home. The shower included - a hot air balloon and travel theme with the colors of orange, blue and green. The decorations were a perfect touch, the food was tasty, and the shower was lovely. It was such a wonderful day where we all could come around and bless Lisa with lots of love and gifts for baby Lain. We can't wait to meet him!

The following weekend was at my parents home where all of Lisa's church friends gathered together to shower her. It was a lovely night with lots of laughter, prayers, verses and encouragement for the mama-to-be. It truly was another gorgeous evening with special touches just for Lisa.

My encouragement to my sister at her shower:
Lisa, you are such an incredible mama already, by how I have seen it all unfold so far...the many days you dreamed and wanted this baby so badly, the way you had tears of joy and the excitement in your voice when you heard his heartbeat, how your tummy was all bruised from the countless shots you had to take to make him grow, the complete happiness on your face with each movement he makes inside of you, the way you pray for him daily, how you talk about him, and how you are preparing for his arrival. By this, I know deep down you are going to be the most amazing and outstanding mom to this little man. He is so lucky to have an unconditional loving mommy and daddy. Also remember to soak up the special moments and call out to the Lord for extra grace when times get tiring and hard. Always have his auntie babysit and teach him his first words to be "Auntie Mindy". I am so happy we are living our dream together being mamas, just like we pretended for hours in our room when we were wee little ones. I love you to the moon and back! Your sister - Mindy
