Camping For The Weekend

Last weekend was our very first…Camping Trip!!

I have grown up going on vacations and popping a tent where ever the Troncone family landed. I have learned to really enjoy the outdoors, listening to the birds make their noise at 4am, bon-fires and so much more. This time it was our very first camping trip as a married couple and we truly enjoyed ourselves. I had the honor of doing all the packing. Man, you think you would need a moving truck for all the things for camping. A tent, stove, lamp, sleeping bags, clothes, food but it is all worth the time. We headed up to Valley Center which is only 45 minutes from where we live but it seemed like it was far into the woods. We met Jason’s family at the campsite and we had a wonderful weekend with them. Making food, playing games, relaxing and laughing by the fire made some cherished memories. We had a fun and terrific weekend. Here are some photos of our time together…

Here Comes The Teeth...

We have news for you…. Laylie now has 8 teeth!! 4 on top and 4 on bottom. She just turned 6 months, and within 14 days she has perfectly grown 8 of her teeth. Every morning these last two weeks we got her out of her crib and noticed a new tooth popping through her little gums. She has been such a trooper - though I may add that this not such a fun stage in her life. We can tell whenever Laylie is cutting a new tooth because she will wake up around 10pm on the dot, rubbing her gums back and forth with her little hand. There have been lots of nursing, cuddles, and kisses, and she has been amazing through it all. Folks, little Laylie J. will be eating and chewing normal food in no time at all!

If you look closely you can see a tooth. Hopefully, i can get a better picture of all of her teeth soon....

This is where all her teeth do their growing...

My Amazing Husband's Birthday

Today is Jason’s birthday and I truly feel so blessed to be his wife. He is the greatest thing that ever happened to me and I am so thankful God brought us together. I love living my life with him and I am so happy to be called his wife. Waking up every single morning by his side always makes my day so beautiful. I treasure that he loves God with his whole heart and is such a spiritual leader in our home. He has a heart for others and always is willing to give up everything. He is the greatest daddy to Laylie and it melts my heart on how much love he pours into our little daughter. The joy he has giving Laylie her baths, putting on her pj’s, reading her the Bible before bed and using his awesome talent singing her lullabies every single night when he gets home from work. Every single day he works so hard to provide for our family and I feel so blessed that I can be a stay at home mama taking care of our baby girl. I can’t express how much I adore and love my husband.

For his birthday this year I took him on a Hornblower dinner cruise around San Diego’s bay and it was so lovely. We had the best time together eating a 3 course meal, dancing, cuddling on the top deck, and just enjoying every second of our time together. Here are a few photos of the dinner cruise. Happy Birthday Jason, the love of my life.

Enjoying our dinner and the beautiful view as we cruised around the bay

Always Something New and Exciting

Little Laylie J. is always surprising us with something new. Last week she showed us she can roll from one place to another. The week before that she learned to sit all by herself with no help at all and this week she is learning how to eat baby food. She had nothing to do with baby cereal but is now enjoying the yummy stuff like sweet potatoes, bananas and pears. Every day she is getting better and better at opening up her tiny little mouth and swallowing her super small bite. She loved trying to hit the spoon with her hand and make the baby food fly across the floor, ceiling and wall. Now, we learned we must give her two small spoons of her own to hold while we feed her. Our dog, Gypsy, is a little bummed because she can’t get as much fallen baby food this way. These little accomplishments make us so thrilled and we love watching her do new things.

Cereal = No thanks!

Anything but cereal = Happy and thrilled

Time Comes and Goes...

I know some of our friends and family who live near and far would love to see our little Laylie growing up, hear all about our new adventures and what is going on with the White Family. So, here is the place where you can see and hear it all. We hope this brings as much joy to you as it will to us. So here is our very first post.....

Today, Laylie Joanelle is turning 6 months. When i think back on the night i walked into our home from the hospital holding a tiny baby girl in my arms my heart was overfilled with happiness and love. It was one of the best days of my life and the world seemed to stop. This memory seems like it was only a few weeks ago but really it was 6 whole months ago. I can't believe how time comes and goes but i must say i am soaking up each and every second that goes by with my little treasure. Jason and i love being parents and we both cant picture life being just the two of us anymore. We feel so blessed and never knew our love could grow so fast and strong for such a small little person. We are sure living a wonderful life.

Here is little Laylie 4 weeks old.....

and now 6 months.....

We are excited to share this fun time in our lives and we will continue to post and give updates throughout the coming days, months and years.
Thanks to my wonderful friend Jesslan for the amazing photos.
