Truly Blessed...

I am so blessed!! My talented and wonderful sister has captured the most amazing pictures of our little family. We headed down to the beach and the train station to get some good Christmas photos taken. Every year Lisa takes our annual Christmas pictures and I feel so honored. Every time she hands me over the pictures I am always in awe of her outstanding talent of photography. Lisa, you truly are the sweetest and greatest sister I could ask for. I can’t express how much I am grateful for all the photographs you have taken for our little family and they will be treasured forever. God has really blessed you with a special eye for photography and making moments that will be remembered forever. Thank you, Thank you, thank you sister and I sure do love you to the moon and back.

Here is a little glimpse of our Christmas photo session….AMAZING!!!

I just adore this picture. It reminds me of one we took last year for Christmas when Laylie was 2 weeks old.

Thanksgiving with the Whites

This weekend, Jason and I spent a morning together thanking our big God for all of the wonderful things that He has given us and the list was countless. One of the things that I am very grateful for is the wonderful holiday of Thanksgiving. I just love Thanksgiving! It’s a time to sit and think of the magnificent things we have been blessed with and notice that God really has blessed us, from small things to big things. We will be forever grateful to Him.

On Saturday, we had the most wonderful Thanksgiving with our White Family. When we arrived, the table was decorated to the fullest and every place setting was perfectly set with a party favor. The whole house had the beautiful colors of thanksgiving and the season of Fall – greens, yellows, and reds. Jillian and Maureen made the most delicious appetizers with an incredible cornucopia filled with vegetables. The dinner was extremely tasty and we savored every bite of food. This year, I loved watching Laylie enjoy her very 1st Thanksgiving where she could enjoy all of the yummy food, too. We all had fun relishing in each other’s company, sitting around chatting, laughing, hanging out with the nephews/nieces, and playing games. What an amazing and wonderful Thanksgiving we had and we truly are so thankful for all that God has given us this year. We had a joyous and pleasurable time being together as family.

Halloween

On Halloween…We had so much fun dressing up Laylie this year. She was the most beautiful and colorful fairy. She had the most adorable tutu made with love from my cousin Kaylie and it really turned out PERFECT! Jason and I wanted to match our little fairy, so I dressed up as a mama tooth-fairy and Jason dressed up as a tooth :-)

We stopped by my parents' house for Laylie's very first trick-or-treating. She loved the idea and wanted to take the WHOLE basket of candy instead of just 1 piece. My parents definitely had fun seeing their grand-daughter all dressed up.

We then made a stop at Auntie Lisa and Uncle Jon’s house where she trick-or-treated again. She was thrilled to see them and danced around in their living room. We took some pictures and went on our way to our Halloween party at the Esmays.

We had a ton of fun trick-or-treating with friends in San Elijo Hills, enjoying the party, eating yummy food and dressing up.

What a lovely way to end the month of October!!!!

Apples and Pumpkins...

The past two weeks we have had some really fun adventures: camping in Julian with the White family and visiting several different pumpkin patches. I just love the fall and winter seasons because of the wonderful holidays. There are always so many fun things to do and enjoy.

We drove up to Julian for a traditional White Family camping weekend. We had such a lovely time being with the family, picking apples off the trees, having tea with all the girls and dressing up warm for the cold weather.

Laylie loved picking apples and really enjoyed eating them, too. She ate a whole apple (even some of the core) while we were walking around the groves. It truly was such a fun time.

We met Jason at work during his lunch break last week and decided to eat really fast so we could head down the block to a small pumpkin patch. We had tons of fun with Laylie going into the large bounce houses and slides. There was lots of laughter and giggles. It was so much fun seeing Jason in the middle of the day when he would normally be hard at work.

This year, Laylie enjoyed Bates Nut Farm with all of her cousins. She walked around everywhere and just enjoyed being on her feet. We got to the pumpkin area to pick out our very own special pumpkin and I lost her…yes, for the first time folks! It ended up she was sitting right in the middle of all the pumpkins and just relaxing. She blended right in with all of the pumpkins because of her orange shirt. What a cutie!

We are so thankful for these fun times we get to capture with Laylie!
