Kathleen, GA

A year ago this September I picked up the phone one Saturday morning and on the other end was my closest cousin Madisyn. She told me she just got engaged to her sweetheart Levi and that they were planning to get married next September. Well, that year flew by and our little family made the trip out to Kathleen, GA to witness the beautiful wedding of Madisyn and Levi. We arrived a week early to help out and enjoy the family. It truly was such a fun trip and we are so glad we spent an entire week being with family. Laylie really had a blast playing with all of the cousins, jumping on their big trampoline, swimming, and enjoying every day that we were there. It was such a joy to see all my cousins playing with Laylie and holding Rael. It brought my heart so much happiness. The wedding was magical and beautiful, and we made memories we won't ever forget.

The week was a blast playing with all of the cousins.

I had fun helping Madisyn with her wedding planning by putting together programs, wedding favors, flowers and napkins. I am so grateful that we have such a close relationship and that I got to be with her during this most special time in her life.

The wedding was so breathtaking. It took place at Plantation Farms where the ceremony was set up outside on a beautiful grass field, and the reception was in a barn with candles everywhere and big chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. Madi looked absolutely beautiful and she and Levi looked so happy and in love. We had so much fun dancing the night away and being a part of such a joyful event that we all will never forget.

We flew home the day after the wedding with happy hearts. We felt so blessed to be able to enjoy all the family and witness such a magical wedding for my closest cousin.

2 Months

Rael is now 2 months. It's amazing how fast time goes but I am soaking up each and every day with my sweet baby girl. She is becoming more content with this world and is becoming truly such a joyful baby. She is smiling and cooing at anyone that talks to her. She is starting to phase out her cranky hours at night and is willing to fall asleep on her own. She is in her big girl room now and looks so peaceful when she sleeps in her big crib. She is still feeding every 3 hours around the clock and loves milk. Her favorite thing is being held in anyone's arms, which we don't mind at all, and love all the snuggles she gives. Laylie and Rael already have such a special sister bond- Laylie can calm Rael whenever she is upset and Laylie has so much fun playing, holding, singing and reading to her sister. I am feeling so extremely blessed and my heart is beyond happy to have my two little angels. I never thought a two month old would bring our family so much joy and overwhelming love. We love you Rael and can't believe you are already 2 months. Can't wait to watch you grow!!

Raising Our Girls To Be God Followers

Laylie and Rael got dedicated last Sunday and it truly was the most perfect day.

Our pastor and close friend Chris did an amazing job dedicating the girls as Jason and I agreed to raise, protect, guide and teach our girls every single day to love our Heavenly Father. Jason and I each held one of our daughters in our arms, and as we stood up in front of all of our family and friends, we really felt so blessed that everyone there committed to help us as we lead our girls toward God. I pray that Laylie and Rael would love our God with all their heart and live their lives filled up with Him. I am praying that people would realize that something is different about them and that they would shine for His glory.
As Chris was speaking, he encouraged us to go out as a family and find the biggest rock that Jason could carry, and for us to take it back home as a reminder of what we stand for as a family. He also read "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength, and love your neighbor as yourself" and as he spoke those words, Laylie looked over at me and smiled because we had just been working together with her on memorizing that scripture!
We had a time of prayer for Jason, Laylie, Rael and I which made this mama tear up. What an amazing feeling to have the ones that you love and adore pray over you and your family. Laylie and Rael were each given a special Bible that had been signed by everyone. The service was brought to a close by being blessed by everyone with this verse: "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life, and you shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever!"
Afterwards, we had an awesome BBQ and hung out with our church family and friends for the rest of the day as we celebrated. What a perfect and glorious day!!
